Service Description

Students will create a coastal-inspired mixed media artwork featuring a weathered turquoise anchor, dimensional fishing net, rope, beads, and a starfish. Using acrylic paint and found objects, participants will learn how to combine painting with collage techniques to create depth, texture, and visual interest. This project is perfect for beach lovers and encourages creativity through layering, dry brushing, and composition. Learning Objectives Students will learn how to: - Create an underpainting with acrylics. - Blend and layer colors to create a weathered coastal look. - Use dry-brush techniques for rustic effects. - Incorporate dimensional objects into artwork. - Balance composition using focal points and texture. - Seal and preserve mixed media artwork. Release of Liability By registering for or participating in any class, tour, event, or activity, you acknowledge and accept that participation may involve certain inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury or damage and agree to release and hold harmless The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc., its staff, and volunteers from any liability for accidental injury, harm, or loss arising from participation. Age & Supervision Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise specified. The Foundation reserves the right to request proof of age at any time. Code of Conduct All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times. The Foundation reserves the right to remove, without refund, and ban from the property any individual who engages in disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or disrespectful behavior. Indemnification Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc., its directors, staff, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their own acts, omissions, or negligence while on Foundation property or during participation in Foundation activities.
