Jayeesha Dutta

Jayeesha Dutta is a Bangladeshi-American multidisciplinary artist, cultural organizer, and co-founding member of Another Gulf Is Possible Collaborative, a regional collective of artists and change-makers. Most recently, she spent nearly a dozen years immersed in New Orleans’ vibrant creative community, contributing to numerous artistic and cultural projects. Notably, she served as co-producer, set designer, and dramaturge for Cry You One, a site-specific immersive theater performance honoring grief, memory, and collective struggle.
Jayeesha's various visual mediums include photography, "tatreez" embroidery, watercolor, acrylic painting, and creating multimedia immersive, experiential installations to propel audience participation and action. Her work bridges art and activism through storytelling, healing, and the cultivation of joy as resistance. In 2021, Jayeesha relocated to Port St. Lucie to care for her elderly parents and is thrilled to find a creative community through The Peacock House Art Foundation.
