Step into the enchanting world of belly dance in this welcoming class led by Helia at The Peacock House. Designed for all experience levels, but focused on Beginners, this class invites you to explore the beauty, strength, and expressive artistry of West Asian and North African dance through graceful movements, rhythmic isolations, and joyful combinations. Whether you're completely new to belly dance or looking to deepen your practice, you'll build confidence while improving posture, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness in a supportive, uplifting environment. Along the way, you'll connect with other women, discover music, embrace self-expression, and experience the empowering energy that makes belly dance a timeless art form. Come as you are—no dance experience is required. Wear comfortable clothing close enough to the torso to allow to see your moves. If you have a hip scarf, bring it along for a little extra sparkle that amplifies your shimmies; coin belts help the most as they also provide sound feedback . Location: The Peacock House, 722 Orange Ave, Fort Pierce, FL 34950-4183 When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, starting on September 8, 2026 Time: 10am-11am Cost: 25pp (or 4 classes for $80, ask Krystal or Emily!) Level: Beginner-focused • All levels welcome Meet Your Instructor Helia: Internationally acclaimed dance artist and Master Teacher, Helia has been offering classes on the Treasure Coast since 2010. While her great musical sense magically gives visual life to the sound world, her theater background may explain the exceptional qualities of expression and communication of her Mediterranean style of Dance. Booking & Participation Policy All sales made by The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc., including but not limited to classes, tours, goods, and services, are final. Subject to availability, a purchaser may request an exchange of equal value for an alternative class, tour, good, or service. If the exchange is of greater value, the purchaser must pay the difference prior to confirmation. The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny any exchange request that does not comply with these terms. Weather Policy In the event of severe weather, emergencies, facility closures, or circumstances beyond the Foundation’s control, scheduled classes, tours, or services may be rescheduled or substituted. The Foundation assumes no liability and offers no refunds under such circumstances. Limitation of Liability The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc. is not responsible for a participant’s inability to attend or use any class, tour, good, or service due to scheduling conflicts, illness, travel delays, or other circumstances beyond the Foundation’s control. By purchasing, booking, or registering, you acknowledge and agree to these terms in full. Release of Liability By registering for or participating in any class, tour, event, or activity, you acknowledge and accept that participation may involve certain inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks of injury or damage and agree to release and hold harmless The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc., its staff, and volunteers from any liability for accidental injury, harm, or loss arising from participation. Age & Supervision Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise specified. The Foundation reserves the right to request proof of age at any time. Code of Conduct All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times. The Foundation reserves the right to remove, without refund, and ban from the property any individual who engages in disruptive, unsafe, unlawful, or disrespectful behavior. Indemnification Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Peacock House Art Foundation, Inc., its directors, staff, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their own acts, omissions, or negligence while on Foundation property or during participation in Foundation activities.
